BallCube is a party game for 2-4 player, that provokes communication: Each player has a certain number of marbles in one colour. These symbolise his powers of self-assertion and must – actually very easy – only be transported through the tubes of the BallCube. Gravity is the way – were it not for the sliders, which opens not only its own ways with its irregular arranged openings but also those of its opponent, or closes them most complicatedly, or without having paid attention, to reach one’s goal with the help of the “WhiteBall” (another game variation). And the player is out. Therefore it counts, dependent upon the position of the sliders, to place one’s marbles carefully, step by step through the BallCube, all through a strategic skilful activity of the sliders, in order to achieve one’s goal. As the first. BallCube affords, in its virtually symbolic transparency, all players and observers an unhindered view in the three dimensional constellation of their positions, their chances and those of the opponent, and with that teaches, - all at the same time: to think more dimensionally, and also the realization: That it doesn’t only count to have a mind of one’s own. Advancement of skills The deliberate transparent conception of the BallCube makes it possible depending on intellectual demand for two variations of the game: the intuitive-experimental procedure, which, especially for children from the point of view of a game of chance, produces a fun filled game, however the strategic demanding procedure, the particularly high demands on both logical and also spatial thought is suited for predominantly adult players. Material The BallCube is made of highly transparent plastics. The facetted appearance is a result of this, which is determined depending on the angle of observation and the incidence of light through ever varying refractions and colour effects. The sliders and coloured balls are also made out of plastics. The obvious transparency of BallCube produces in both children and adults more often than not an intuitive understanding of the game, which more often than not, without having to follow each instruction and regardless of age, leads to a spontaneous enthusiasm and continual joy of the game.
